October 14, 2026 | Beta Development Log

The Oviu Beta is officially underway, and the past three days have been anything but quiet behind the scenes!

Thanks to real platform usage, user-generated data, direct feedback from real estate professionals, and our ongoing internal testing, we've been identifying opportunities to make Oviu smarter, smoother, and more reliable.

And we've been busy!

From Smart Matching improvements to bug fixes and a more intuitive user experience, here's a look at what we've been working on.

⚡ OPTIMIZATIONS

Making the engine smarter, more accurate, and more useful.

1. Smart Matching — More Accurate Results

We've been refining the way Oviu evaluates compatibility between property listings and client requests.

  • Improved location eligibility checks to reduce irrelevant matches between geographically incompatible properties and requests.

  • Strengthened municipality and neighborhood comparisons, prioritizing specific locations over broad geographical matches.

  • Refined the distinction between mandatory client requirements and preferred features.

  • Improved how matching evaluates property characteristics, including floor preferences, surface area, and condition.

  • Continued testing category-specific scoring for Residential, Commercial, and Land properties.

  • Preserved the minimum 70% visibility threshold to help agents focus on more relevant opportunities.

2. Location Matching Intelligence

Location is one of the most important factors in a real estate transaction, and we're treating it accordingly.

  • Strengthened checks for exact-location compatibility.

  • Reviewed proximity-based matching for clients willing to consider nearby areas.

  • Improved the handling of strict location requirements so that incompatible locations are excluded.

  • Continued refining geographic data interpretation to prevent incorrect matches caused by inconsistent location information.

3. Data Integrity & Matching Reliability

Behind the scenes, we've also focused on making the matching process more dependable.

  • Reviewed match eligibility independently from compatibility scores.

  • Strengthened protections against displaying matches that fail mandatory criteria.

  • Preserved existing collaboration records when matching eligibility changes.

  • Expanded testing using real-world listing and client-request scenarios.

🐛 BUG FIXES

Because even smart platforms need a little debugging.

1. Property Listing Photo Requirements

We addressed an unnecessary restriction affecting property listings.

  • Removed the requirement to upload photographs before activating a listing.

  • Adjusted the behavior when the final photograph is removed from an existing listing.

  • Ensured that photo availability does not interfere with Smart Matching eligibility.

Agents can now work with listings even when photographs are not yet available.

2. Location Compatibility Issues

Our testing identified scenarios in which location data could lead to unexpected matching behavior.

  • Corrected inappropriate broad-location fallback behavior in the matching logic.

  • Strengthened the distinction between eligible and ineligible locations.

  • Reviewed geographic identifiers used in municipality and neighborhood comparisons.

3. Matching Criteria & Property Features

We've also addressed inconsistencies in how certain property details are stored and evaluated.

  • Improved persistence of selected residential property features.

  • Reviewed the treatment of floor preferences and other non-mandatory criteria.

  • Strengthened the handling of mandatory and excluded property features.

  • Corrected inconsistencies identified through reported matching scenarios.

4. Account Verification Status

We've improved the distinction between users who have not yet submitted their verification details and those awaiting administrative review.

  • Introduced clearer verification status handling.

  • Refined the conditions used to identify genuine pending verification submissions.

  • Improved the consistency of verification information across onboarding and administration.

✨ ADDITIONS & CHANGES

Making Oviu easier to use, one improvement at a time.

1. A Simpler Client Request Location Experience

We've been redesigning the way agents enter preferred locations for their clients.

The goal? Fewer unnecessary steps and a clearer way to manage multiple location preferences.

  • A more compact location selection interface.

  • Clearer visibility of selected locations.

  • The ability to remove individual location selections.

  • Improved handling of duplicate locations.

  • Additional safeguards against saving incomplete selections.

Status: Final testing and validation in progress.

2. More Flexible Location Preferences

We're refining how agents communicate their clients' willingness to consider nearby areas.

Our proposed location preferences include:

  • Strict Location: Only the selected location is acceptable.

  • Flexible — Up to 1 km: Nearby alternatives within a smaller radius.

  • Flexible — Up to 5 km: A broader search radius for clients open to nearby opportunities.

Status: Under development; not all options are available in the live Beta.

3. Simplifying Property Listing Entry

We're also working toward a more efficient listing workflow.

Our objective is to allow agents to enter a property's exact address once, while Oviu handles the relevant geographical interpretation internally.

This will help reduce repetitive data entry while improving location matching.

Privacy remains a priority: Exact property addresses, coordinates, and precise map locations will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to collaborating agents.

Status: Planned improvement.

🔍 WHAT'S NEXT?

Our current development priorities include:

  • Further Smart Matching accuracy improvements.

  • Finalizing and validating the new location selection experience.

  • Simplifying property listing creation.

  • Continuing to address feedback from our Beta users.

  • Exploring ways to reduce repetitive data entry, including future CRM integration possibilities.

And, of course, more testing. Lots more testing. 🔧

💜 BUILT WITH OUR USERS, NOT JUST FOR THEM

One of the most valuable things about launching a Beta is seeing how real professionals use the platform.

Every listing, every client request, every Smart Match, and every piece of feedback gives us a better understanding of what works, what needs improvement, and what matters most to agents.

We're not just collecting feedback. We're turning it into development priorities.

To everyone who has joined Oviu, explored the platform, submitted entries, or taken the time to share their thoughts:

Thank you. You're helping shape what Oviu becomes.

And to those who haven't joined us yet, our Beta is free, and we'd love to have you onboard.

Stay tuned for our next development update!

We make the match. You make the deal. 💜
